I’m Brianna, a trans woman who wakes up every day with strength, even when it hurts. I live on my own, building myself slowly, piece by piece. I don’t have all the surgeries I dream of yet, but I’m still moving forward. Sometimes I look in the mirror and see things I want to change, but I also see how far I’ve come. I don’t give up, even on the days when I feel tired. I’m growing, step by step, even when no one sees it.

I want surgery. I want to look more feminine. I want to feel completely like myself. I don’t have the money yet, but I know I’ll get there. I imagine my softer face, my new nose, my body matching who I am inside… and I know one day it will happen. My transition isn’t a whim — it’s my freedom. Even if the process is slow, every step brings me closer to the woman I truly am.

I want to travel, grow, study, and have real opportunities. I dream of the U.S., of living somewhere I can feel safe and free. I also miss my little brothe so much — it hurts not seeing him grow up — but I keep going for him and for myself. I’m a Black trans woman who wants to fly far, who refuses to settle, and who keeps walking even when she’s scared. I wasn’t made to give up.

I live alone and pay for everything by myself. I may not have everything I want, but I do the best I can with what I have. I’m always looking for opportunities, fighting for my transition, and working toward my goals. I’m a trans woman who dreams, who tries, and who doesn’t let life break her. Things get hard, but I always find a way to stand back up.
